Shrek Birthday Cakes and Cupcake Ideas

Ok Shrek Fans if you are planning a Shrek Birthday Party Theme you may need some fun ideas and inspiration to help you create a Shrek Birthday Cake or even Shrek Cupcakes for your party.

Being the new Shrek Forever After Movie will be in theaters May 2010 there will be an increase in kids looking to have a Shrek Party. So I decided to put this page together to show you different ideas others have done with Cakes and Cupcakes that you can also do instead of going out and buying them pre-made.

You do not need to be a Professional Cake Decorator to create some of these and not only will it save you money to make your own, but you will also enjoy all the compliments and satisfaction that you did it yourself.

There are many great Shrek Cake Toppers available that just enhance your baked and frosted cakes. One of my personal favorites is this Shrek Forever Cake Topper which comes

Another fun favorite that would be fun for the kids on their cupcakes is the Shrek Wind Up Hopper Toy. The kids will have a lot of fun licking the frosting off of him and then winding him up and watching it hop all over the place. Having this on their cupcakes adds an additional party favor they can take home and play with after the party.

If you want to create some easy Shrek Cupcakes then you can choose to use some of the many Shrek Cupcake Toppers Available. You can find Personalized Shrek Cupcake Toppers, Shrek Cupcake Rings, which the kids can lick the frosting off of and keep and you can also choose the Edible Shrek Cupcake Images which go right on top of your frosted cupcakes.

Have some extra fun and turn your Cupcakes Green using Green Food Coloring and Vanilla or White Cake Mix. It adds to the look and fun for the kids. You can also find lots of fun Green Colored Sprinkles and Sugar too !!!

You will also find many different Shrek Images to choose from and I think that is the hardest part - choosing your favorite picture. Then you can just add some extra frosting designs around the image and even candies to spruce it up even more.

Not everyone will want a Shrek Ogre Cake at their Shrek Party especially the girls. So why not create a Princess Fiona Birthday Cake. You would create the cake as you would a Barbie Doll Cake using a Barbie Doll with Red Hair just like Fiona and Wilton's Wonder Mold Kit . Then you would ice the Dress using Green and Yellow like Princess Fiona's Dress.
