I just have to share with you some very cool Geek Birthday Cakes and I when I use the word "GEEK" I do not mean it in a derogatory way at all. See I live with a few of them myself - My Husband, Son and Daughter. I think being a GEEK these days is a great thing and I encourage it in every way. The world is all about Technology with Computers, Laptops, iPhones, MP3 Players, iPods, Video Games etc... and for most kids they are taking it on and I see nothing wrong with it at all - in fact I encourage it with my own kids.

So I thought it would be fun to share with your some Geek Birthday Cakes that are fun for those you may know who are all about today's technology. Some are not to hard to create for the average person and some may be better suited for those who have a little bit more Cake Decorating Skills. So come get inspired by some of the cakes you see here and hopefully you will create a special Birthday Cake for the Geek in your life.

Computer Motherboard Cake by Me

So as I said above I live with Geeks. My son turned 12 this year and he is a Geek in every way. He has been tinkering with computers since he was a baby thanks to my husband. His computer knowledge is so beyond his years and he can talk circles around most adults. He is my own Tech Support and teaches me new tricks everyday. He has all the latest in technology, which honestly is starting to make my husband mad since some of his toys are better. Too funny. My son is my husbands Mini Me and I would not have it any other way.

So anyway for his birthday this year I wanted to make him a special Birthday Cake. Originally I wanted to make him an iPhone Cake, but due to time I had to change things up. I had seen photos of Computer Motherboard Cakes and they looked fun to do - so I decided that would be the one. The photo above and to the right are of the Computer Motherboard Birthday Cake I created - it was all in fun and I think it turned out that way. My son loved it.

The cake was very easy to make and I shared Step by Step Instructions with photos on how you can do it on my Party Blog. So if you like this one and want to create one yourself that check out my post here:

iPhone Birthday Cake

Originally I wanted to create an iPhone Birthday Cake since my son is all about his iPhone, but again due to time I had to change my idea. I also have not really worked with Fondant which is really what you need to do to create an iPhone Birthday Cake and have it resemble the iPhone.

A lot of people have created iPhone Birthday Cakes but I really like this one created by Cake Hero which is what you see pictured to your right. MY main reason is because they added a Cupcake App on the phone and you follow me you should know I love Cupcakes.

The Cake Heros Cake creations are absolutely amazing and so is this iPhone Birthday Cake. So if you have the skills I say go for it.

iPod Cakes

Now these iPod Cakes are very cool and they are actually made using Brownies. They would be individual cakes for each party guest and being iPods come in many colors you can make all different colors for each one. They even have the ear buds using Licorice & believe it or not some Mentos & Good & Plentys. These are very easy to make and I really like them a lot and so would your party guests.

You can see how to make these at Woman's Day where they show you Step by Step directions here:

Apple Computer Icon Cake

Now if you are an Apple Computer Fan then you will definitely like this one made by Evil Mad Scientists. Now the Apple Icon logo on this cake is actually cut by a laser to get the lattice effect, but you can cut out the Apple Icon without it as well.
